Guadeloupe vs Nicaragua in the 2009 Gold Cup.
Guadeloupe is a French overseas territory in the Caribbean, and as such it is also part of the Euro zone (along with other French overseas territories such as Reunion, Martinique and Mayotte). The islands have a population about the size of Manchester, and although they are not FIFA members, they are members of the CONCACAF and have been successful in recent tournaments losing to Jamaica on penalties in the Final of the CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Football politics is fairly complex when it comes to Guadeloupe. All Guadeloupeans are elegible to play for France since they are French citizens. As a special rule for the Gold Cup Guadeloupeans are allowed to join the team on the condition that they haven't played for France in the past 5 years. In theory Thierry Henry could well make his Guadeloupe debut in a few years time.
